After three days of diverse and insightful presentations, the ISOP 2025 came to a successful close on Wednesday, 5th November. The symposium brought together researchers, practitioners and stakeholders from a variety of disciplines to share their knowledge and perspectives on organic farming. The lively discussions demonstrated how a shared commitment to sustainable agriculture can bring together diverse interests and areas of expertise. During a joint excursion to the Mekong Delta, participants experienced the vibrant river landscape that shapes the region’s agricultural life firsthand. This field visit once again emphasised the importance of the local context for organic rice production.
As ISOP 2025 drew to a close, participants left inspired and with new ideas for food production, driven by passion, knowledge and entrepreneurship. The OrganoRice project will now enter its final phase, with the ISOP presentations and the project’s results to be circulated over the coming months.
