In May 2025, the OrganoRice project was represented at the 35th Annual Meeting of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) in Vienna. The international conference brought together scientists from academic research, industry, and policy experts from across the globe to discuss pressing environmental challenges and share scientific solutions.
At the event, the OrganoRice team presented research findings on the contamination and reduction of pesticide residues during the transition from conventional to organic rice production in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. The presentation emphasized the importance of targeted soil analysis to protect ecosystems and public health while supporting farmers in adopting sustainable agricultural practices.
Participation in SETAC Europe provided a valuable platform to exchange knowledge with the global scientific community and to strengthen international collaboration aimed at advancing environmental sustainability.
The OrganoRice team thanks SETAC for organizing an inspiring and impactful conference, and looks forward to continuing the dialogue with environmental experts worldwide.
